The range of waste management services provided by Trienekens extends to consulting, planning, designing and project management as well as operation of wastes management facilities from landfills and incinerators to recycling plants and treatment facilities.

The Kuching Integrated Waste Management Park

One of the core components of the Integrated Solid Waste Management System in Sarawak is the newly constructed Kuching Integrated Waste Management Park. For its partner in the ISWMS, Sarawak Wastes Management Sdn. Bhd., Trienekens has designed the facility and has managed the project in its entirety, before assuming its role as the operator of this state-of-the-art facility.

As the first Integrated Waste Management Park in South East Asia, the facility is designed to cater for municipal solid wastes and scheduled and hazardous wastes of all types as well as pathological wastes.

The careful selection of environmental protection equipment and disposal technologies of highest efficiency guarantees full compliance of all components of the facility with local and international safety and environmental standards thus setting new standards in the region.

Preservation of natural resources and immediate as well as long-term protection of the environment are the basis of planning and operating the Kuching Integrated Waste Management Park.

Common Facilities

Sanitary landfill for municipal wastes
Secure landfill for hazardous wastes
Hazardous waste incinerator

Leachate & Water Treatment Plant

Stabilization Plant
Auxiliary facilities include a laboratory for material analyses and environmental monitoring, a temporary reception and storage area for scheduled and hazardous wastes, a garage and weighbridges.

Once sufficient amounts of methane gas are generated, the initial practice of cleaning and flaring will be replaced by power generation using these gasses, thus further preserving natural resources.
