FAQs General: Where can I collect my wheel bin? Wheel bins can be collected at the Logistics Depot (please refer to map). Collection time: Monday to Friday from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. What documents should I bring when collecting the wheel bin? Please bring along the following documents for verification purposes: - Utility bill (either SESCO, Telekom or KWB) - House assessment bill or Sale & Purchase agreement for new houses - Identity Card What should I do if I lost my wheel bin? Should tenants fail to locate their wheel bin, kindly contact our hotline for the necessary action and lodge a police report immediately. A copy of the police report must be obtained for a replacement of the wheel bin and a minimal administration fee will also be applicable. Failure to produce a police report will result the full price of the bin to be charged to the tenant. How can I dispose of my green/garden wastes, bulky electrical appliances, old/broken furniture, renovation wastes, etc.? Normally, a separate collection date will be arranged for the collection of these wastes. Our Hotline Assistant will advise you on the exact collection date. Charges may be applicable depending on the volume and nature of waste. Residents can contact Trienekens Hotline (082) 612300 for disposal of bulky wastes, renovation wastes, broken furniture, garden/green wastes. How should I pack my excessive household wastes? Any excessive household wastes which cannot fit into the wheel bin should be properly packed in a garbage bag and tied up to prevent exposure to rain water, sunshine and pests such as flies, rats, etc. and placed next to the wheel bin for collection. Commercial: How can I apply for a bigger bin or more collection frequency? Request for bigger bins or additional collection frequency will be assessed on a case to case basis and is only applicable to commercial entities. A request form has to be completed which requires approval by the local authority before being expedited. The above request is only applicable for commercial waste and disposal of bulky items like wood, metal, stones is strictly prohibited using these bins. Please contact 082-612300 to arrange for a site assessment for the additional bin volume or collection frequency. How do I dispose of my bulky items? For disposal of bulky items or even construction waste, please contact our hotline to arrange for an inspection to be made. What should I do with the bin if I move? All bins shall not be removed as the bin provided is registered to the address. New tenants are required to ensure that previous tenants have not removed the bin. How much does it cost to rent a container? (Price ranges between RM120.00 to RM300.00 per container depending on volume of waste, size of container, type of waste, period of container usage and manpower requirement). Special waste like used oil; chemicals & paint waste are considered as scheduled waste, which need to be collected separately. For further enquiries, please contact our hotline at 082-612300. Hazardous and scheduled waste How do I know if my waste is classified as hazardous waste? Customers can contact Trienekens Hazardous Waste Department direct line at 082- 612300 for enquiries on their type of waste. The list of waste classified as Scheduled Waste/Hazardous is referred under the Environmental Quality Act. Sample of waste can also be taken for lab testing to determine the classification of waste and the cost of disposal. What is the procedure for customers with scheduled/hazardous waste? All Scheduled and Hazardous waste must be properly packed and stored in a dry storage facility. Do you also charge for transportation? Our quotation includes collection, transportation and final disposal of waste. For collection of waste from rural areas, transportation fees may also be applicable. Do we need to inform DOE with regard to our waste? Yes. Hazardous/Scheduled waste generators must declare their scheduled waste to the Department of Environment (DOE). Trienekens can assist and advise the waste generator on the necessary procedure. All paper work such as filing of material safety and data sheet (MSDS) can also be handled by Trienekens. |
