On 7th of November 1998, Trienekens AG of Germany and Sarawak
Incorporated Sdn. Bhd. signed a joint venture agreement to implement
an Integrated Solid Wastes Management System (ISWMS) in Sarawak.
This led to the formation of a joint venture company, Sarawak Wastes
Management Sdn. Bhd. (SWM), the concession holder for the ISWMS.
Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd was incorporated on the 8th of June
1999 as the operating company to develop, implement and operate
the Integrated Solid Wastes Management System (ISWMS); operations
commenced in June 2000.
As the operating company appointed by Sarawak Wastes Management
Sdn. Bhd. to implement the Integrated Solid Wastes Management System
(ISWMS) for the State of Sarawak, Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd.
is set to present itself as the leading company in the business
of environmental management in the South East Asian region.
Drawing strength from the 80 years of experience in this field of
the Trienekens Group with its reputed engineering companies, coupled
with exchange of technical know-how and project experience gained
in European and Asian regions, Trienekens offers her municipal,
commercial and industrial partners and customers quality waste management
